Painting is telling stories for me.
Stories that have no end.
My casual, expressive way of painting, without formulating every detail, leaves the interpretation and completion of the stories to the viewer.

How it all began:
As a teenager, I caught fire during my lessons with Bert Gerresheim in Düsseldorf. His unconventional way showed me how alive art can be.
Another sculptor, Günter Maniewski, laid the foundation for my figurative works at the Frankfurt Academy of Fine Arts.
What I can express with colours and brushes on the canvas was finally taught to me by Felix Eckardt during my studies at the academy in Kolbermoor.
